The news is out!!!

Well, we have started telling people our good news. We told Steve's parents the night before Thanksgiving. His mom couldn't stop looking at the pictures. I think his parents are pretty happy. This will be the first Braune grandchild. Steve told his brother Michael when he got to the Midlothian at about 2:30 in the morning. Michael was so excited that I heard him yelling upstairs. We took a trip to Babies R Us and Steve and his dad test drove strollers. I thought I was going to die laughing. As we were testing out gliders, Steve fell out of his. I truly thought I was going to wet my pants. Steve did buy his first baby outfit while we were there.

We told the kids the next morning. They were both pretty excited. Of course, Sarryn wants a girl and David wants a boy.

We had another doctor's appointment after we returned. I didn't gain any weight from the last appointment. YEAH!!! The doctor couldn't find the heartbeat but we got to see Baby B on the ultrasound and watched "it" move around. Steve was super excited. He actually asked me to move so that he could get a better look. I was laying on the table!!! The doctor said that Steve's enthusiasm was nice to see and that he met many fathers for the first time at the delivery. Steve said he didn't plan on missing a single visit. Our next appointment is on New Year's Eve. They may start looking for boy/girl at that appointment. We also have to go to a genetic counselor and to get a more detailed ultrasound in Winston in January. Hopefully, we should know by the middle of January.

I saw some of the teachers that he works with Thursday night at a ball game. They told me that he carries the latest ultrasound picture around with him. He told them he was going to have to get a frame because the picture was curling up. How cute!!!

We told my parents this weekend. We told them that we had some news and that we had heard that 3 was a a great number. Mom grinned and siad it didn't take long. I think they are both happy. I told them about my 0 weight gain at the last appointment. Mom quickly warned Steve that I have a tendency to do pregnant in a "large" fashion. We did have to leave there and go purchase some new clothes. My pants aren't wanting to close any more. Dad told Steve to find me some clothes that would fit. We were able to find some things. Steve was hilarious in the store. He kept all the other dads laughing.

We have started telling our friends. Traci and Hilda were happy, but I don't think they were very surprised. Steve has had fun telling his buddies. We think there was a pool going as to when we would get pregnant. I hope whoever won spends the money well!!!

Daddy's first Dr visit

Well, today's was Steve's first ob visit with me. We had the confirmation ultrasound. Steve was hilarious...it was like a kid in a candy store!! He couldn't get over the heart beat. He kept grinning, clapping his hands and walking around. The technician gave us a stack of pictures. Steve is now carrying a picture of "Baby B" in his wallet. I reminded him that he can't show anyone until Thanksgiving but he said he just wanted to have it anyway. We got pictures of its' little head, body and legs. They are soooo cute!! The technician even tried to get our first 3-D shot. It wasn't great, but I can't wait for the next one. I go back in early December for my next visit. By then, we will be starting our 2nd trimester and we will start to tell. I can't wait to see the everyone's expession.

Great news!!!

Today we had "official" confirmation that we are going to be parents!!! I can't believe it is really happening. We can't wait to tell everyone, but because it is so early we are going to wait a while. I think it will be easier that way. We have to get used to the idea first....
